Dr. Applegarth has been practicing dermatology in LaPorte and Porter counties since 1998. He has been board certified in two specialties; internal medicine and dermatology. This dual board certification gives Dr. Applegarth a unique perspective in diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions with dermatologic manifestations.

Dr. Applegarth enjoys teaching and routinely educates students from local and regional universities who are interested in pursuring careers in the medical field.

Dr. Applegarth supervises a staff of midlevel providers; Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. He takes this responsibility seriously. He is onsite with each provider at least twice weekly. He believes this is necessary to ensure the best medical care for our patients; something that separates this practice from other practices in the area. Our practice is generally able to offer same day appointments during our normal business hours.
